The ioLogik E1200 series Ethernet Remote I/O product is compact and its versatile sensor-to-computer interface is specifically designed for reliable operations. The ioLogik E1200 can be connected to a broad array of industrial sensors and is well suited for use in factory automation applications, security and surveillance systems, and tunnel monitoring systems to enhance safety and operational efficiency.

Wide Temperature Design for Harsh Environments
Global climate conditions have become progressively more unstable and extremely unpredictable, with record highs and record lows wreaking havoc at remote sites. The ioLogik E1200 with its wide operating temperature range (-40 to 75°C) is perfect for such harsh locations. Reliable and consistent remote data acquisition and control is ensured with Moxa’s ioLogik series products.

  Peer-to-Peer Cable Replacement for Cost-Free I/O Expansion
In many automation applications, the control room and sensors are located far from one another and often a single remote I/O module is deployed to collect data from all of the sensors. Peer-to-peer communication replaces cables by integrating multiple I/O signals over a single network cable to transmit input-to-output controls without the aid of PLCs or controllers. The peer-to-peer communication feature, which supports channel-to-channel mapping, enables the ioLogik E1200 to allow simultaneous multiple target transmissions. In addition, the ioLogik E1200 supports up to 16 channels for transmission over Ethernet (based on an emitter and receiver I/O pair).

Daisy-Chain Topology Simplifies Cabling and Reduces Deployment Costs
Moxa's ioLogik E1200 series Ethernet remote I/O products come with two embedded Ethernet switch ports that can be used to form a daisy-chain topology for easy cabling. Unlike "star" topologies, a daisy-chain topology lowers operating expenses by eliminating the need to buy additional Ethernet switches and significantly reducing cabling cost. In distributed Ethernet data acquisition applications, the panels, devices, and cabinets are often located at remote sites where space is limited. To save space and reduce cabling cost and deployment time, you can daisy-chain ioLogik E1200 units to each other or other Ethernet devices.

Push-based Active OPC Server for Seamless Connections to SCADA Systems

Active OPC Server Lite™ is Moxa's free software package that operates as an OPC driver for HMI/SCADA systems to achieve faster response time with low network bandwidth consumption. Conventional OPC servers typically use a polling method to connect to Ethernet I/O devices, which continuously send commands to collect relevant data. Moxa's Active OPC Server Lite™ offers active (or "push") communications, which enables Moxa's Ethernet remote I/O products to provide HMI/SCADA systems with instant I/O status reports with "Active Tags" that use less bandwidth compared to the traditional polling method.
