The Cisco ME 3400-24FS AC Ethernet Access Switch is a new member of the Cisco ME 3400 Series of next-generation switches, customer-located equipment especially for triple-play (data, voice, and video) Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN services. The Cisco ME 3400-24FS AC Switch is for service providers that want to offer Ethernet Fiber-To-The-Home (E-FTTH) services. Equipped with 24 100-Mbps Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) interfaces, the Cisco ME 3400-24FS AC supports multiple types of optical modules including FX, SX, and BX. Together with the Cisco Catalyst® 4500 Series, the Cisco ME 3400-24FS AC offers options for high-density and low-density deployments. The ME 3400-24FS AC supports the same advance software as the rest of Cisco ME 3400 series.
