By connecting the built-in USB-C cable to a source device that supports USB DisplayPort Alt Mode, you can output 8K video and digital audio to a compatible monitor, television or projector without installing special software drivers. Connecting the cable to a USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 Type-C port on a laptop allows full USB4 40 Gbps data transfer rates for quickly transferring large files between storage devices and maximizing video bandwidth.

The USB-C port transmits full 8K video at 7680 x 4320 at 30 Hz or 4K video at 144 Hz for professional photo and video editing. When not used for video, the USB-C port can be used for transferring data to an external storage drive at USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds up to 10 Gbps. The two HDMI ports each support up to 4K at 60 Hz. Up to two displays can be connected at one time (USB-C + HDMI or HDMI + HDMI) with maximum 4K/60 Hz or 8K/30 Hz (USB-C) + 4K/30 Hz or 4K/144 Hz (USB-C) + 4K/30 Hz.

The USB-C video/data port and both HDMI ports support HDR (High Dynamic Range), which provides a wide range of vibrant colors with rich contrast, brighter whites and deeper blacks that pop on your 4K or 8K display. HDCP 2.3 encryption allows you to stream 4K/8K content with no loss in resolution. This dock also supports uncompressed 4:4:4 chroma subsampling for top-level PC gaming or using your HDTV as a PC monitor. 

Connects USB Peripherals and Transfers Data at Fast USB 3.2 Gen 2 Speeds

The USB-C data port and one USB-A port support USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds up to 10 Gbps for rapid file transfers between the host device and an external USB peripheral, such as a storage drive. A second USB-A port supports USB 2.0 data transfer rates for adding a mouse or keyboard to your workstation. The USB-C 10G port provides up to 5V/1.5A (7.5W) of charging power to mobile devices. All three USB ports support over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature and short circuit protection.

PD 3.0 Charging Port Charges High-Powered Devices via AC Wall Charger

The USB-C Power Delivery port provides power output up to 20V 5A (100W), which is sufficient for charging and powering the connected source device, such as a MacBook or Chromebook. Just connect the device's AC wall charger to the USB-C PD port.Note: The dock allocates 85W to charging the host with 15W dedicated to the functioning of the dock.
