The energy-efficient NG16-1 network switch connects up to 16 devices, such as computers, routers, printers and servers, to a Gigabit Ethernet network and allows them to communicate with each other. It's recommended for your small office or data center, workgroup or creative production environment. It helps you share large bandwidth-intensive files, such as CAD drawings and videos, at Gigabit (1000 Mbps/1 Gbps) speeds, improving efficiency and cutting costly downtime.

Maximum Network Functionality

The NG16-1 features 16 twisted-pair RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports that support auto-negotiable 10/100/1000 Mbps and auto MDI/MDIX functionality, so crossover cables and uplink ports are not needed for connections to PCs, routers and other switches. No configuration is required, so you can have your Gigabit network up and running immediately. IEEE 802.3x flow control (full duplex) and back pressure (half duplex) allow smooth transmission of large files.

Complies with IEEE Energy Efficient Ethernet Standards

The NG16-1 supports IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet standards by automatically shifting unused ports into a low-power state without interrupting network connections. It consumes very little input power-just 10W. It also meets IEEE 802.3ab, 802.3i and 802.3u standards.

Choose Your Mode

A slide switch on the front panel allows you to select one of four operating modes: Normal, Flow Control Off, VLAN (Port Isolation) and Network Extend.

Plug-and-Play Functionality for Easy Use

No configuration is required in setting up the unmanaged NG16-1, so you can have your 10/100/1000 Mbps network up and running immediately. Cat5/5e/6/6a UTP/STP cables (sold separately) provide optimal performance. Easy-to-read LEDs indicate connection and activity status for each port. The NG16-1 supports MAC address auto-learning and auto-aging for efficient routing.

Heavy-Duty Metal Enclosure with Versatile Installation Options

This rugged switch features a detachable C13/C14 power cord that connects to a protected UPS or AC wall outlet. The housing contains no fan, resulting in silent operation. The NG16-1 is designed for desktop placement with the included rubber feet or 1U rack mounting using the included brackets.
