Government agencies, educational institutions, users of big data, computer manufacturers and others that need robust, high-quality, removable drive enclosures to store, transport, and protect their sensitive data rely on the CRU DataPort® 27.
These carriers and frames receive any capacity 2.5-inch low profile (7mm height) SATA hard drives and solid-state drives (SSD). The frame mounts in 9.5mm slimline optical bays found in many laptops and small form factor desktop computers. The DataPort 27L, a variant frame with a physical lock and key for extra security, is also available.
The DP27 enables fast drive swapping for additional storage. The frame mounts meet standard SFF-8552 (rev 1.4) specifications for 9.5mm slimline optical drives.
A fully enclosed metal hard-drive carrier provides rugged protection. These enclosures are engineered and warrantied for heavy use. The drive receiving interface is rated for up to 50,000 drive insertions.
The DP27 operates at speeds up to 6 Gbps using 6 Gbps hard drives and host controllers.
The DP27 frame includes a latch to secure the carrier in place during operation, while the DP27L uses a key to secure the carrier.
