Quantum Corporation ("Quantum") warrants, subject to the limitations set forth below, that this Quantum DLTtape 1/2" cartridge tape product (the "Product") is free from defects in material and manufacture at the time of purchase. If any defect in material or manufacture appears within the warranty period, Quantum's entire liability, and your exclusive remedy is, at Quantum's sole option, for Quantum to: (a) repair the Product, (b) replace the Product or (c) refund to you the purchase price of the Product, provided that the Product is returned to Quantum with proof of purchase such as a purchase order, invoice, or sales receipt. This warranty does not apply to the failure of the Product resulting from misuse, abuse, accident, neglect or mishandling, improperly adjusted or maintained tape drives, incorrect environments, or wear from ordinary use. Quantum DLTtape™ IIIXT 1/2-inch data cartridges are designed exclusively for use with the DLT 2000XT, DLT 4000, DLT 7000, and DLT 8000 tape drives, as well as DLT loaders and libraries with these tape drives inside. They are made of metal particle formulation for high durability, and therefore can withstand 1,000,000 passes MTBF. These cartridges have an archival storage life of 30 years.
