TRENDnet's compact 1000BASE-T to Dual SFP Fiber Media Converter with Redundant Mode, model TFC-G21SFP, converts a 1000BASE-T (Copper 1Gbps) Ethernet connection to two 1G BASE-SX/LX (Fiber) SFP media connection, and vice versa. The 1000BASE-T RJ-45 port on the SFP transceiver supports a full-duplex 1Gbps connection at wire speed. The dual SFP ports allow for uplink redundancy if a link on one of the SFP ports fails. The SFP ports support both multimode (SX) or single-mode (LX) SFP modules.
