The vehicle mounting foam accessory for the R2100 Series seals any gaps that may be present when installing the router on uneven vehicle exterior surfaces (such as roof strength ridges), or more convex surfaces (such as some vehicle deck lids.) The foam seals the gaps against water seepage or other material that would otherwise penetrate the drilled opening for the router.
