Monoprice™ PoE Ethernet Network Cables are designed to fully support the Power over Ethernet (PoE) feature, which allows connected devices to draw the power they need from another device over the Ethernet cable. This allows you to install Ethernet switches, Wi-Fi® access points, surveillance cameras, and other PoE compatible devices in locations where no power outlet is available, without running a separate power cable. These U/FTP cables feature foil shielding over each twisted pair to help reject electromagnetic and radio frequency interferences (EMI/RFI) and maintain high speed data transmissions at speeds up to 550MHz.
Monoprice™ Ethernet cables are made of 100% pure bare copper wire, as opposed to copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire, and are therefore fully compliant with UL® Code 444 and National Electrical Code® TIA-568-C.2 fire and safety standards, which require pure bare copper wire in communications cables.
