The TDK DVD-R47MPTHDC25 is a 4.7GB 8x Write, Medical Grade Armor plated DVD-R. It offers 100 times greater scratch resistance than standard medical DVD media. The Armor Plated hard coating technology provides  protection against the loss of important medical data even in the most demanding environments. It provides dirt resistance, making it easier to wipe off fingerprints, contaminants and even accidental food and beverage spills without damaging the disc. This coating has superior anti-static qualities to reduce dust accumulation, which can damage expensive optical library systems. Because the disc coating technology protects the recording layer, it can prevent write/read errors, jitter and other causes of data loss and recording failure. All TDK Medical Grade DVD media has been tested for universal compatibility with DICOM recorders.
