BLACK BOX EMD4000-KIT EMERALD IS THE FIRST ENTERPRISE KVM EXTENSION AND KVM MATRIX SWITCHING SOLUTION

What Is Emerald?

Emerald is a control platform that lets operators access and control multiple computers, virtual machines, and web-based systems from a single workspace. It removes the need for multiple keyboards, screens, and desks by bringing everything into one unified operating environment.

Fault-Tolerant Architecture

Emerald is designed to stay online even when components fail. Redundant network paths and resilient system design ensure continuous access during outages, maintenance, or unexpected disruptions.

Best-in-Class VM Integration

Emerald connects directly to virtual machines without extra hardware. Operators can access physical and virtual systems from the same interface, using the same keyboard and mouse, with support for multi-user collaboration.

Complete BYOD Solution

Emerald supports secure access from personal laptops using native Windows and macOS applications. This enables flexible, hybrid, and remote workflows without compromising performance or control.

Unified Platform Architecture

Emerald provides one consistent platform for physical systems, virtual machines, and web applications. This simplifies operations, reduces training time, and minimizes operator fatigue.

Enterprise-Level Security

Emerald uses encrypted communications, centralized access control, and policy management to protect systems and data while maintaining fast, intuitive access for operators.

Centralized Command and Control

Emerald allows operators to monitor and control multiple systems at once from a single workstation. Industry-first UltraStream™ Technology delivers multiple simultaneous 4K streams over 1GbE and 10GbE infrastructures. Ideal for mixed HD and 4K users.

Why It Matters

Emerald is designed around how people actually work in control rooms. By reducing screen clutter, simplifying access, and keeping systems available under pressure, Emerald helps teams stay focused, coordinated, and effective no matter how complex the environment becomes.
