The VisionTek USB 3.1 Type-C to DisplayPort Adapter lets you connect your Mac, PC or laptop with DisplayPort over USB-C port to a DisplayPort monitor, TV or projector. This adapter is also compatible with all systems that have a Thunderbolt 3 port. You can run mirrored or extended desktop display configurations at resolutions up to 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) at 60Hz. Simply connect the adapter to the USB-C port on your Macbook, PC or laptop to your DP display. Plug and play operation - no software drivers to install. Perfect for projectors and TVs that have a DP connection. DisplayPort cable required (not included).
Requires USB-C port which supports "DisplayPort Alternate Mode" (not all USB-C ports/systems support Alternate Mode functionality) or Thunderbolt 3 port. Plug and Play installation on any Windows, Mac, or Linux host which supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode (Alt Mode) video output functionality.
Most current phones and tablets with USB-C ports do not support Alt Mode video output.
Compatible systems include USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 equipped MacBook Pro 2019/2018/2017, MacBook Air 2018, Microsoft Surface, Microsoft Surface Go, Dell, Lenovo or HP laptops.
