The 2U rackmount enclosure is designed to hold 16 RS232 RJ45 passive splitters of varying port densities. These RS232 RJ45 passive Splitters are designed to permit multiple terminals to share a single modem. These passive devices are non-powered and transparent to data formats and speeds. The data from the modem is transmitted to all terminal devices. Only one terminal device may send data to the modem at a time. The Master Port is intended to be connected to a modem (DCE). All other ports are to be connected to terminals (DTE).
