The ComNet™ CNGE5MS is a hardened, industrial five port all gigabit managed Ethernet switch. It has three 10/100/1000Base-TX and two Gigabit combo ports that utilize ComNet SFP modules for fiber and connector type and distance. The IEEE 802.3 compliant unit is a redundant switch offering multiple Ethernet redundancy protocols, C-Ring, ComRing, C-RSTP and MSTP/RSTP/STP. This redundancy feature protects your applications from network interruptions or temporary malfunctions by redirecting transmission within the network. The CNGE5MS offers centralized and convenient management through a windows-based utility called eConsole. Redundant DC power inputs provide non-stop operation in case of power supply disruption. The backup power input will take over immediately when the primary DC power input fails. The unit provides relay outputs that can be set up to indicate events and notify in case of potential problems.

The ComNet FVT/FVR160 series video transmitter and video receiver utilize 10-bit digital encoding and decoding for high-quality video transmission that exceeds the requirements of EIA RS-250C for short-haul video transmission. These environmentally hardened units provide transmission of 16 independent video channels over one optical fiber and are ideal for use in unconditioned roadside or out-of-plant installations. The ComNet FVT/FVR8014(M)(S)1 Series transmits eight (8) channels of 10-Bit Digital Video along with four (4) channels of bi-directional data over one single mode or multimode optical fiber. The video quality exceeds RS-250C for medium-haul video transmission. This equipment is environmentally hardened and suitable for use in unconditioned roadside or out-of plant installations. The FVT/FVR8014 is compatible with NTSC, PAL and SECAM video transmission protocols and supports bi-directional RS232, 422 and RS485 (2 & 4 Wire) data. Plug-and-play design ensures ease of installation and no electrical or optical adjustments are required. Bi-Color LED indicators are provided to indicate the status of the system, video and data. Packaged in the exclusive ComNet ComFit housing, these units may be either wall or rack-mounted, or may be DIN-rail mounted by the addition of ComNet model DINBKT1 adaptor plate. The ComNet™ FDC8 Series contact closure transmitter and receiver provides transmission of up to eight independent contact closures over one RS232 link or optical fiber. Microprocessor-based logic sends the contact information in packets that are ordered and encoded, ensuring extremely robust transmission. Packets that are garbled, packets out of sequence, and transmission bit errors will not cause random changes of state on the contact relays. Also, the mechanical latching relays maintain their state even when the unit loses power. Each module incorporates power and individual status indicating LEDs for monitoring confirmation of contact closure of each of the eight channels. Packaged in the exclusive ComNet ComFit housing, these units may be either wall or rack-mounted, or may be DIN-rail mounted by the addition of ComNet model DINBKT1 or DINBKT4 adaptor plate.
The ComNet FDC1 single-channel and FDC2 dual-channel modems are designed to detect and report a breakage or the loss of optical signal in either multimode or singlemode fiber plants. Featuring a self-contained transmitter and receiver, these units provide an optical output that is transmitted continuously through a customer-furnished fiber loop, where it returns to the internal receiver section. Should the optical path be lost through a deliberate or unintentional breakage of the fiber, relay contacts in the modem immediately change their state and report the loss of optical signal. These contacts are user-configurable as either normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC), and may be utilized for either a local or remote indication of cable plant tampering, damage, or failure. The dual-channel version contains two independent transmitter and receiver units in one compact packag, and is ideal for continuously monitoring the optical status of two separate fiber loops.
The ComNet™ FDC8ISOT 8-Channel Contact Closure Transmitter unit provides up to eight independent normally-open (NO) dry contact closures over one multimode or single-mode optical fiber, when used in conjunction with the companion ComNet model FDC8NLR Non-Latching Receiver or FDC8R Latching Receiver units. Each of the contact closure inputs are optically isolated at 1500V to ground, for those applications where high stray or transient voltages may exist. Microprocessor-based logic in the FDC8ISOT Transmitter detects a customer-furnished switch or contact closure, and encodes the closure into robust data packets that are mapped and transmitted to the FDC8NLR Receiver. Packets received with excessive bit errors will not result in random changes in the receiver relay contact resting or actuated states, making this system ideal for mission critical remote switching applications. Plug-and-play design ensures ease of installation and operation, and no optical or electrical adjustments are ever required.
The ComNet™ CNFE8US Series Ethernet 8 port unmanaged switches are designed to transmit and receive 10/100 Mbps data over optical fiber through user selectable SFP options or 10/100 Mbps data over CAT5E/6 electrical cable. These units integrate eight independent 10/100 Mbps channels in a single package.
The CNFE8FX4TX4US and CNFE8FX8US require the ordering of sold-separately interchangeable SFP modules for fiber type, distance and connectors.
All electrical interfaces will Auto-Negotiate to 10 Mbps, or 100 Mbps Ethernet rate without any adjustments. The optical interfaces operate at a 100 Mbps Ethernet rate.
The ComNet Ethernet media converters are designed to transmit and receive 10/100 Mbps data over multimode or single mode optical fiber. The electrical interface will Auto-Negotiate to a 10 Mbps, or 100 Mbps Ethernet rate without any adjustments. The optical interface operates at a 100 Mbps Ethernet rate. These media converters are environmentally hardened to operate in extreme temperatures. LED indicators are provided for rapidly ascertaining equipment operating status.
