These adapters allow a second person to easily plug in and join a phone call for training or monitoring purposes. The 2RJ9 ports are for plugging in the 2 headsets. The two buttons on the adapter allow for the muting of either microphone. There are also Volume Up/Down controls on the side of the adapter.
