The DataPort V plus is designed for hard disk drives operating at 7200 rpm and above. It has a cast aluminum alloy metal frame and carrier, which provides excellent thermal management and reduces operating temperatures by up to 30%. The DataPort V plus supports Ultra2 Wide SCSI (LVD) interface. Standard features included a dual ball-bearing cooling fan with CRU's patented Temperature Controlled Cooling System (TCCS), gold-plated DIN connectors, and key lock security. It is the most cost-effective, high-performance system in the CRU line of DataPort products.

Engineered to support both affordable SATA and enterprise level SAS hard drives, the DataPort 10's rugged all-aluminum construction provides superior protection and cooling. The interconnect is warranted for 30k insertions and tested for 3Gb/s full duplex operation, which delivers up to 600MB/s in certain applications. When connected to a SAS host bus adaptor, the DataPort 10 SAS/SATA carrier supports both SAS and SATA HDDs. This feature allows data migration from SATA systems to SAS Workstations or Servers.
