Control and Connect - Easy Access to Mac Studio and PCIe Card Expansion Module

Convenient front panel operation allows you turn Mac Studio on with its own dedicated front power button, connect USB devices through a 4-port USB-A hub, and access the computer's front ports and SD card slots. When equipped with an Echo III or Echo I PCIe Card Expansion Module, three rear panel locking thumbscrews allow you to easily pull out and access the module and PCIe cards through the front without removing the front panel. xMac Studio's design enables you to connect and disconnect cables without needing to remove the Mac Studio from the enclosure.

An opening on top of xMac Studio ensures hindrance-free wireless signal access. The xMac Studio is designed to allow normal WiFi and Bluetooth wireless operation in most configurations (depending on rack type and position in rack), so you can use wireless devices and iOS® device control apps.

RackMac Studio is a rugged steel 3U rackmount enclosure for securing one or two Mac Studio computers in a rack, placing them behind a quick and easy to remove front panel. Convenient front panel operation allows you turn Mac Studio computers on with their own dedicated front power buttons, connect USB devices through passthrough USB-A ports, and access the computers' front ports and SD card slots. RackMac Studio's design enables you to connect and disconnect cables easily without needing to remove the computers from the enclosure.

Space for SSD Drives - Secure up to Three Thunderbolt or USB SSD Drives Under Each Mac Studio Computer

RackMac Studio provides space beneath each Mac Studio computer to house up to three Thunderbolt or USB SSDs (sold separately) up to 3.2 inches wide by 0.75 inch tall. Simply remove the rear access panel, apply the supplied adhesive-backed magnet to the bottom of the SSD, insert the SSD and connect it to the computer, and then reinstall the panel. The space is also suitable for other thin, bus-powered devices.

Benefit From a Secure Connection

Thunderbolt connectors are held in place by friction. While that works well in situations where equipment remains undisturbed while operating, when there's a chance of movement nearby, there's a chance the Thunderbolt cable can be unintentionally unplugged, possibly leading to loss of your work or data. To solve this problem, Sonnet designed the ThunderLok, a Thunderbolt connector retainer clip, to prevent accidental cable disconnections from many of Sonnet's current Thunderbolt products. It is easy to install and use-just slide it over one end of the cable, and then plug in the connector and secure it to the product by turning a thumbscrew. Because of its unique design, ThunderLok does not attach to the connector, but remains on the cable so it won't get lost when not in use. Sonnet already includes a single ThunderLok with many of its Thunderbolt products. Buy additional ThunderLoks to secure a downstream device's cable! Works with all known copper Thunderbolt cables. Does not work with optical Thunderbolt cables.

Ingest P2 Content, Fast

Sonnet's Thunderbolt Pro P2 Card Reader quickly transfers files from Panasonic P2 memory cards to your Mac (with Thunderbolt or Thunderbolt 2 ports) on location, in the studio, or in the edit suite. This single-slot reader's ability to transfer data from P2 cards at much higher speeds than USB 2.0 card readers are capable makes for a significantly more convenient and efficient workflow.
